Reports to:
Director of Jesuit Service and the Mission Superior
Over-all responsibility:
Monitor and evaluate current education programs of Jesuit Service Cambodia; Assess the higher education institution needs in terms of supporting Education program of Jesuit Service and Cambodian Church; Recommend possible initiatives for Jesuit Mission;
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit, carefully study and assess all the present educational programs of Jesuit Service;
- Recommend cultural/country-appropriate improvements or changes to the programs;
- Conduct a needs assessment of secondary and higher education in Cambodia;
- Liaise with representatives of education-related government agencies and NGOs to obtain information related to intended areas of expansion;
- Propose areas of cooperation with counterparts in the diocese, other religious groups, NGOs and Government schools ;
- Produce a feasibility studies for a “Teacher Training Center” to be built and run by the Jesuit Mission ;
- Produce a feasibility study for a “ cooperating /support to other high education institutions” ;
Qualifications:
- Formal background in Education
- Experience in educational administration and third-world social development
- Sharp research and analytical skills
- Good written English communication skills
- Consults with: Mission Superior /JS Director
